Following on from the successful First Australian Tomography Workshop
organised by Tim Senden and colleagues at ANU last December, we are
planning a followup workshop this November to be held at Monash
University. The aim of the meeting is to create awareness of each
others work and to foster links and collaborations. The meeting is open to all aspects of tomography, whether with x-rays, electrons or theoretical/computationals aspects.
The workshop will run for up to 2 days, the first day being focussed on
tomography generally with a range of contributed talks from attendees. We will be
joined at the meeting by overseas visitor Jean-Pierre Guedon from
Nantes' Polytech in France who will speak on Discrete Radon transforms. The second day will focus more on existing plans and future
proposals for tomography at the Australian Synchrotron. We also hope to
arrange tours to nearby facilities such as the Synchrotron and the new
Monash Centre for Electron Microscopy.
