With just a few weeks to go till the 2nd Australian Tomography Workshop to be held 13-14th November, we would like to finalise the program and firm up numbers. We are asking if attendees could formally register for the event by 20th October, and we are also extending a 'last chance' call for abstracts - the extended deadline is the end of this week (10th October). The registration form is here. Please pass this notice on to any colleagues that may be interested.
The registration fee is $50 per head, however, registration is free for speakers and there are a number of free registrations available for students on a first-come first served basis. We may also be able offer some limited assistance to interstate students towards the costs of attendance – please contact the conference organisers for details. We are setting up an online ecart system to accept registration payments and we’ll email you details of the payment system when we have them.

The venue for the workshop will be lecture theatre S1 on Monash University Campus in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Tours are being arranged to the Australian Synchrotron and the Monash Centre for Electron Microscopy, both of which are within walking distance of the venue. Transport & parking details will be posted to the website nearer the time.

The program is not yet finalised but a rough outline of the workshop is as follows (subject to change):

Thurs 13th November:
General tomography talks over 4 sessions from 9.30am on until around 5pm followed by BBQ.

Friday 14th:
9am - Lunchtime – Synchrotron talks and session on future proposals.
Afternoon – Tours to Australian Synchrotron and Monash Centre for Electron Microscopy. Finish by 4pm.

Abstracts that have been submitted are being made available on our web site: http://xrsi.cmit.csiro.au/TomoWkshop/

Please pass this on to any of your colleagues who may be interested.
